The Moon’s Gift, Welcoming Girls Into Womanhood

‘We are The Earth, we are Her, and when we connect with Her, everything happens.’

Victoria De Aboitiz has written a gorgeous book called The Moon’s Gift.

It’s an introductory book that welcomes girls into womanhood.

Aimed at girls age 11+, the book offers a simple, kind and holistic approach to the Female Cycle.

The Moon’s Gift addresses feelings, includes hands-on exercises, stories, images and portrays the cycle in a positive way.

It’s a useful resource for the whole family and an educational guide and I had the pleasure of interviewing Victoria about

  • how she connected with her menstrual cycle as a gift
  • the books purpose
  • how she got the idea for the book
  • the process of Creating
  • how we can order a copy

I’m always fascinated to meet Women using the Power of their cycle to Create, to voice what’s been unspoken and be part of this wave of awakening to the gift of our cycle. Something Victoria calls The Moon’s Gift.

Victoria was born in the Philippines in 1982 and grew up in Argentina.

The thread she uses to sew together her projects is love and empowerment of the Feminine.

She’s a woman and Mother that accompanies births and she writes and draws to express it.

She has published three books.  “Compartir el Parto”, “The Mystery of the Breast” and  “The Moon’s Gift”.

The Women With No Name

I question if, in 2020 the ‘norm’ of taking the male line name is still relevant, and if so, what’s effect is it having on the empowerment (or not) of women?
